6. The River – In Hold’em and Omaha the final card is dealt to the player with the best five-card poker hands. This is called “the showdown”. Once this has been completed the player with the best five-card poker poker hand wins the pot.
7. Position – Your position in a hand determines how much information you have when it’s time to act. When it’s your turn to act you’ll have more information than your opponents, which can help you make the most intelligent bets possible.
8. Position – Your position in a hand can also affect the strength of your opponent’s bluffs, especially if you have a strong made hand or a weak made hand. This is known as bluff equity and you’ll want to take advantage of it.
